The Listless Shopper
by The Loved OneI'm so languid and confused.
What should I buy? What could I use?
I'll just rest here and think awhile,
dreading every cluttered aisle.
Shopping takes such energy.
Whopping bills, they're not for me.
I hate to move, I hate to pay.
I'll try again another day.

I liked the poem. My question is, that polar bear -- is he the one talking (shopping could indeed be a chore for a polar bear, what with the cashiers running off screaming), or is he staring us in the face to challenge us to think about our shopping habits?
