Rusty Cage

I've been hearing on Pandora this Johnny Cash cover of Rusty Cage, a weird song whose short history seems to give no clue about it's deeper meaning. I'm guessing it's just a collection of macho toughman words strung together that's fun for anyone high on testosterone to sing along with. I'm interested if anyone has any ideas if this song is actually about something. Here it is with some repetition removed

You wired me awake
And hit me with a hand of broken nails
You tied my lead and pulled my chain
To watch my blood begin to boil

But I'm gonna break
I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my
rusty cage and run

Too cold to start a fire
I'm burning diesel,
burning dinosaur bones
I'll take the river down to still water
And ride a pack of dogs

Hits like a Phillips head Into my brain
It's gonna be too dark
To sleep again Cutting my teeth on bars
And rusty chains, I'm
gonna break my Rusty cage and run

When the forest burns
Along the road Like God's eyes In my headlights
When the dogs are looking
For their bones
And it's raining icepicks

On your steel shore

Poop

My last post led me to this curiously disgustingly awfully random website: http://www.smellypoop.com/facts_about_poop.php

Jesus is King, etc.

I have been generally impressed with the quality of the graffiti in my favorite bathroom stall at my favorite university. Here's a sampling, in roughly the same order that I noticed it:
  • Why do we sit around and break each others' hearts?
  • [new handwriting] For the same reason we sit around and write weird messages on the stalls.
  • Hi, I'm Jewish!
  • I H8 college but I love all da parties!
  • Jesus is King
  • Those who write on bathroom stalls / roll their shit in little balls / those who read the words of wit / eat the little balls of shit.

Wart Removal

The wart on my hand did not respond to my little thing of wart-remover-lipstick. I like to do things myself, and I hate sitting in waiting rooms. I have a needle-nosed pliers. I used it, plus some paper towels and duct tape to stop the bleeding. My hand feels lighter now.
